Despite being only 23, Deividas has considerable experience, having played at the top level in Russia, in European competitions and in 16 International games for Lithuania. The industrious and creative midfielder has also had a whirlwind start to 2005, joining FBK Kaunas in January after a successful spell with FC Lokomotiv Moscow. However, before he was able to make his debut Deividas was secured by Hearts on a short term contract that will take him through to the summer of 2005 when he is due to rejoin the Lithuanian champions. <\/P>
Deividas started his senior career with the Lithuanian club, FK Ekranas Panevezys in 1997 and at that time the highlight of his career was playing in the Lithuania Cup Final in May 2000 when Ekranas beat Zalgiris Vilnius 1-0. The fast and direct playmaker joined Dynamo Moscow in 2001 and then in December 2003, he moved to FC Lokomotiv Moscow whom he helped to win last season's Russian League Championship. <\/P>
The highly regarded Lithuanian is a regular scorer from midfield and his quick and incisive runs down the wing also create a steady stream of chances.
