Marc-Andrè Kruska wrote Bundesliga history when scoring an awesome goal on the last match day against Hansa Rostock (2-1) – because he was not older than 17 years, ten months and 22 days on that day! So Kruska was the third youngest Bundesliga scorer in history, outflanked by two other Dortmunders only: team mate Lars Ricken and former BVB player Ibrahim Tanko were slighty younger during their premiere.

“I just kicked the ball firmly, trying to hit it best – suddenly it banged in!”, Kruska described his 102 km\/h-hammer right into the left angle. Concisely, that’s the right description for his body dimensions (70 kgs, 1.78 m) same as for the career of the 18-year old: Kruska had his professional debut on October 5th, 2004 in a friendly vs. Zwickau (2-1), scoring a goal himself, assisting the other. Deeply impressed, Bert van Marwijk sent him to the Bundesliga squad where Kruska was assigned firstly when playing Kaiserslautern (0-1). Since then, he is a permanent part of the first squad.

„It was quite surprising“, Kruska, loyal to BVB since C-youth, commented - meanwhile he was provided with a professional contract not expiring before 2009. “Cruz”, currently working as a trainee to become an office clerk, lives in Castrop-Rauxel with his parents, naming swimming, computers and music as his hobbies.

STRENGHTS<\/B>
„Marc is an extraordinary player, bearing the opportunity to be very successful.“, former A-youth coach Theo Schneider comments. Kruska is very clarified, never loses the overview or shows up distraction. He’s got a feeling for danger, additionally he’s very courageous. Team mates same as opponents pay respect to his snappy performance. U-19 national player Kruska puts up with a certain risk but stays after the balls even when they’re lost to straighten out his own faults.
