Roman Burki (born 14 November 1990) is a Swiss professional footballer, who currently plays as a goalkeeper for Borussia Dortmund and the Swiss national football team. Before that Burki was part of the winning squad of Grasshoppers that beat FC Basel 4–3 on a penalty shootout in the Swiss Cup 2013 final.<\/P>

He is the older brother of the defender Marco Burki.

Burki began his career in 2007 with the reserve squad of the BSC Young Boys. In 2009, he moved to FC Thun, and half a year later to FC Schaffhausen. In the summer of 2010 he went back to BSC Young Boys, and again half a year later he was transferred to Grasshopper Club Zurich. On 24 May 2014, he signed a contract with SC Freiburg. For the season 2014-15 of Bundesliga it undertook SC Freiburg as the successor of Oliver Baumann. In Freiburg Burki played in all 34 games, but he couldn't prevent the team from being relegated to 2. Bundesliga. On 14 June 2015, he signed a contract with Borussia Dortmund. He made his Bundesliga debut on Saturday 15 August against Borussia Monchengladbach in which Dortmund won 4-0.

Roman Burki played for Switzerland U-21 on the 2011 UEFA European Under-21 Championship. Since 2013 he is called for Switzerland and was in squad for 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.
