Victor Bernardez is one of Honduras coach Reinaldo Rueda’s most tried and trusted performers and has been a familiar face in the national side since the Colombian took on the job in 2007. A speedy and astute central defender, Bernardez has performed a valuable man-marking role for Los Catrachos in recent years.

A cornerstone of the Motagua side that won the UNCAF Club Championship in 2007, Bernardez had a number of trials with English and German clubs before being put through his paces by Anderlecht. The Belgian side liked what they saw and offered him a contract in 2009, with the Honduran settling in straightaway and becoming a valued squad member.

A rock at the heart of the Honduras defence, he was an inspirational presence throughout their successful qualifying campaign for the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa™. Having now collected over 30 caps for his country, he has the experience and ability to shine on the biggest stage of them all.
","D41F91B0720932DCFCEBDA572EB68D71":"1982-5-14","EABD711929A60B526AB9CD802EC5F0A7":"5
;
