Like his brothers Wilson and Jhony, Jerry began his career at Olimpia, winning several titles during a five-year stay but never quite reaching the heights expected of him. In 2006 he went on loan to Motagua before another move to Vida, returning to Los Leones in between times. It was in 2008 that his stop-start career finally took off. Joining Marathon, he quickly established himself as his new club's leading striker, the upturn in his fortunes also helping him hold down a more regular place with the national side.

Honduras coach Reinaldo Rueda has called on his services frequently since their qualification for South Africa, naming him in his provisional 30-man squad. Unfortunately for Jerry, Rueda decided to leave the striker out of his final list. Just when he thought he would be watching the tournament back home on TV, though, an injury to fellow forward Julio Cesar de Leon reopened the door to the finals for a player known for his strength, long-range shooting skills and prowess in the air.","BFE43781BF2A8A9E3EADFCC3CC1AF971":"0","031D6804B38B16BF":"93741","C377723034B3384C":"4290","2299C98649C2E7A9E5F02ED855F2A9FC":"Hunan Billows,Hangzhou Greentown","776ABA890334BE6B3BFB7EFC5D96F457":"Hunan Billows","C497EA9EA23AEEDCAF9AD5DB76B19323":"","3D0CAED1D8820318D15DE014CB00C4C7":"Honduras","DC9241C78561BCD0":"Jerry Palacios Suazo","2B1A74B80063A830":"1","e_index":6};
