The 21-year-old joined Palace as a youngster and came up through the ranks to make his debut during the 2002\/2003 campaign. He has made four first team appearances for The Eagles. <\/P>
Although Sam found first team opportunities limited at Selhurst Park, he excelled during loan spells with Oxford United and Northampton Town during the 2004\/2005 campaign. He made five appearances for Oxford and then a further ten at Sixfields. <\/P>
Sam joined Port Vale on loan last season and proved himself to be a excellent performer at League One level, putting in a goalscoring performance against The Reds at Vale Park in January 2006. He turned out 30 times for Vale, netting four goals. <\/P>
