Defender who joined the U's on a permanent basis from Watford in the summer of 2004, having impressed in a loan spell at the end of 2003\/4. It was Brown's second loan spell at Layer Road, having previously been here back in 1997.<\/P>
A combative defender who is prepared to get stuck in where it hurts, he has done exceptionally well in his displays to date and was a worthy winner of the Player of the Year awards last season.
