Profile

<\/STRONG>The joint-leading marksman in the 2007 Russian Premier-Liga, with 14 goals for FC Moskva, 25-year-old Roman Adamov has found the going rather tougher this year, but he was retained in Guus Hiddink's UEFA EURO 2008 squad after making his international debut against Romania in March.

Joined FC Rostselmash Rostov-na-Donu in 2000 but had spell in Ukraine with FC Shakhtar Donetsk's reserve team before returning to make Russian Premier-Liga debut in 2001, scoring three goals for Rostselmash in 21 appearances.

Remained with club (re-named FC Rostov) until summer 2004; played in 2003 Russian Cup final but substituted at half-time in 1-0 defeat by FC Spartak Moskva.

Joined 2004 cup runners-up FC Terek Grozny, winning promotion to top flight, making one substitute appearance in UEFA Cup and becoming club's top scorer, with seven goals, as they were relegated in 2005.

Moved to Moskva, where he linked well with Sergei Semak, scoring 22 goals in two seasons.
