Profile<\/STRONG>
A late addition to Romania's UEFA EURO 2008 party, Eduard Stncioiu was drafted in as a replacement when Dnu Coman broke his left thumb in training. The call came out of the blue for the 27-year-old goalkeeper although he did spend the 2007\/08 season helping CFR 1907 Cluj win the Romanian league and cup double.
Started career at FC Sportul Studen?esc, initially in second division; promoted twice with club before he became undisputed first-choice goalkeeper in 2004.
Ended 2004\/05 season well, keeping clean sheets in Sportul's last five matches.
Started all 30 Liga 1 matches in 2005\/06, helping Sportul to finish fourth behind the capital's big three of FC Steaua Bucureti, FC Rapid Bucure?ti and FC Dinamo 1948 Bucuresti.
Joined CFR in 2006; made 25 appearances in first season but shared goalkeeping duties with Portuguese import Nuno Claro in 2007\/08 title-winning campaign.
