Islington-born goalkeeper James is known for his shot-stopping abilities.

He spent time on loan with Dagenham & Redbridge in League Two last season but struggled to make an impact in the first team and made just a few appearances.

He was, however, the hero as the Daggers beat Leyton Orient on penalties in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy, scoring his own spot-kick before making a vital save in an epic shoot-out.

James received a surprise 'call-up' to help out England at London Colney after an injury to David Stockdale in the 2010\/11 campaign.

He has been on the bench for the first team and spent eight days on loan with Southampton in 2011.
